    Venomous and Nonvenomous Snake Control

In the Oklahoma City area, most snakes are nonvenomous. They eat rodents and are quite harmless, but they can be disturbing when you find one in or near your home or business. Unfortunately, we also have a few venomous snakes, like copperheads.

You can rely on Edmond Wildlife Control for effective trapping and removal of any snake. We have over 20 years of experience, and we have the training and equipment necessary to recognize and safely handle venomous snakes. Call or text us today for a quote.

    Simple Snake Prevention Techniques

Like most nuisance animals, snakes are attracted by food, water, and shelter. The best way to prevent snakes from making their nests near your home or business is to make sure that you aren't providing these things.

Snakes are carnivorous, and the ones in our area go after insects, eggs, and small prey. Rabbit hutches, chicken coops, and other outdoor animal enclosures are quite attractive. We can advise you on exclusion techniques that make your enclosures more difficult for snakes to enter.

You can make your property less welcoming to snakes with several techniques.
    • Cleaning up anything that holds standing water (such as old tires)
    • Regularly checking firewood stacks
    • Removing brush piles
    • Blocking access to any location that might make a comfortable nest (such as under a shed, deck, or concrete slab)
Public safety is our chief concern. For more snake exclusion techniques, please call or text Edmond Wildlife Control.

We called Mike about a snake in the engine compartment of one of our vehicles. He answered the phone immediately. We did not know what type of snake we were dealing with and were apprehensive to approach it. He came over that same day and was fearless!

It is always good to hear a human on the other end of the line. It is unheard of to get same-day help. We recommend this company very highly. Thanks, Mike! A+
